Septic Services
It's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it
Turner Sanitation has been providing residential, commercial and industrial septic and sewer service to Southeast Michigan for over 40 years. We are licensed and insured and use the latest, most powerful equipment available. So if you have a problem or just need to get your tank pumped, give us a call.

Septic Pumping
We come out and pump out your tank, removing all effluent and solid material for proper disposal. We then perform a complete evaluation of your tank and sewer lines, inspect, clean or replace filter screens, and ensure your entire septic system operates properly.

RV / Campsite Services
We provide convenient honeywagon service for RV and camper pump outs. We pump over 1000 RV’s a year and have the expertise and equipment to handle any type of job. When dump stations are not available, give us a call to assist with both black and grey water tanks.

System Maintenance
To operate properly your septic system needs regular tank cleaning every 1 to 3 years depending on your household water use. After evaluating your situation, we’ll help you set up a regular cleaning schedule and a yearly inspection if you like. BioFORCE Conditioner programs are available.

Access Riser Installation
To make servicing your septic tank easier, as well as saving on a traditional digging cost, we can install a riser. A septic tank riser is simply a concrete or plastic pipe that runs up from the pump-out access ports to about ground level.

Signs You Need Your Septic Tank Pumped
It’s Time
Service every 1 to 3 years is best to keep your system working properly. Your regular service provider reminds you when it’s time, or you can call us and we’ll see if it’s time.
Sluggish drains & toilets
When your drains and toilets are slower or just aren’t operating as usual, it’s a good sign you need your tank pumped, before real damage occurs.
Stinky-Icky Odors
When odor-causing gasses start coming out of your toilets, drains, outdoor septic tank area or your drainfield, it’s more than a gross clue- it’s unhealthy.
Really green grass over drainfield
If the grass over your drainfield is looking a lot better than the rest of the lawn, it could be getting a little extra “fertilizer” in the form of excessive waste liquid backing up in your system.
Standing water
Pooling water over and near the drainfield is a serious indication that, at the very least, you need your septic system pumped and inspected immediately. You will more than likely also notice a distinct sewage odor.
Excessive nitrates in well water
Well water should be tested at least once a year. If higher than normal nitrate levels are detected, it can be an indication waste water is overflowing your septic system and into your drinking water… major yuck.
Sewage backup
If you aren’t on a regular maintenance schedule and ignore all the previous signs, having raw sewage backup into your home could become a reality. Kinda disgusting, but true.
Quick Tip: Avoid putting household hazardous wastes, plastics or anything anti-bacterial in sinks or toilet. This keeps the natural bio-processes healthy and functioning properly.
